Girl Of Society

She's not use to seeing that girl in the mirror, so authenticly exposed, so she dresses up in all of these fancy clothes to show that she's quite aware of who she is, falsely embracing all it is that she shows.. Hiding behind the makeup, dolled up looks, and wild behavior seems to be taken as all that she knows, See looks are truly decieving to the eye.. What if I tell you she longs for love, attention, security, & someone to let her know how all of this goes, Lost in a world of being treasured as something that your not , which draws the attention away from what really matters and wants to stay .. Oh how quickly we have forgot, All of the money, cars, and clothes, can't replace what has been made to be seen not sold. What has been made to be honored not destroyed. What has been known to be a time in her life to build her up has made its way to break her down. Time is of the essence, girl you must get yourself together for yourself and not anybody else. Love who you are, all that you have taken as unattractive someone will come along & let you know that they adore all that you claim to be wrong, working for you not against you., so that it'll help you to become strong. Dont worry , Smile, Enjoy, & Know that you are one step away from receiving all of your Joy.

I wrote this poem that is shown above some time ago, I felt led by God to write about the ways of us females that people don't think too much of concerning the decisions we make. People are so quick to judge instead of figuring out the root of one's issues. We as females are highly ridiculed by our wild and unlady like actions when half of the time the reason for it is because we long to be loved the proper way.

This picture that I chose to use for my "Girl of Society" poem is of me which was taken last summer by one of my very good friends named Melissa.  She decided to take this as I was in the middle of talking and being my complete self during our "mini after church photoshoot" lol. But in all seriousness, I genuinely LOVE this picture of me because I exemplified such joy being back home in New York. I did not have to put on a front for someone to like me. I realized that I can be all that God has for me to without having to do more than I always thought I had to. Once you let go of doing things that you think will do more help than harm to your spirit , you will then learn that you will be able to be free and walk in the way that God has for you to be. This world has nothing substantial to offer us, but GOD most certainly has ALL that we need and more.
