Today's First Feature happens to be this wonderful guy by the name of Jordan Stanley. His clever way of expressing his thoughts so beautifully through writing definitely amazed me. I asked him to write a piece speaking on the behalf of his opinion on Beauty and the way women should be treated.
That is exactly what He did & more. It kind of reminded me of an intense debate discussion mixed in with the smooth tone of creating a story through poetry. The title of his piece is called "Beauty Is."

I've come to the realization that there is nothing physical about beauty. Take Stevie wonder for example, a blind man, who's highly trained in the art of writing & singing songs that exceed excellence in describing the "beauty" of women & not once did he ask for a price check on her curves or self check out her height, nor did he stand in line at the register for skin complexion. He didn't ring up her race because those things don't amount to beauty. "Isn't She lovely" was one of his greatest hits but how did he know just how lovely she was?! Beauty is not physical. Women that have mastered 1Peter 3:4 are women worthy of the title of beautiful. It's cool to be virtuous but when your conduct can win any man that's bold enough to ignore the gospel, that's daily evangelism without the title & that's beautiful. Beauty is an art, it's an art to proudly & boldly use what God has given you, & not compare it to what God has given someone else. Beauty is power, beauty is using that God given power given by a God in who's image of power served as the blue print for you. Beauty is quiet, so to speak, often speaking with the projection of a megaphone at a civil rights march & the wisdom of an elder while simultaneously let its beauty speak for itself. there's a reason why diamonds & jewels don't have lips. Men intimidated by a successful woman are not men so I commend beauty for its metronome like constancy, I commend women who allow their ambition to serve as an alarm clock, & never leave the house without daily digesting dietary determination for breakfast. It was not good for get men to be alone likewise thought of the absence of itself. If you have to second guess it, then it's probably not beauty. Beauty is love, beauty is a plethora of love, beauty is filled to the brim with it love. & If you have the least bit of uncertainty, give it the 1Corinthians 13 test, read & replace the word charity with beauty, & I guarantee that's what beauty is.

Her name is Alexis and she is someone who I've come to know personally when we attended the same school together. She effortlessly shows that no matter what she chooses to wear that she will always wear it confidently & boldly. Whether it is a change in her hair or accessories she will make it known that she can rock it all very well. Today, I have decided to also feature her beautiful daughter Alanna who she also makes sure that she is well taken care of and needs nor wants for anything. Today I am featuring an artist by the name of Eddie. He voluntarily wrote a special piece for me to use for his feature which I was extremely excited about. He hails from the DMV area and definitely let's others know that he has quite a lot to say. This piece I will be sharing with you all is called "My Spiel" which directs towards several issues that we face in our day and age. Eddie goes into detail about how he feels our country is and the affects that society has on my him being that he is not a "typical" black male as some would either think he was or assume him to be. This beauty named Zhané who has a major love and interest for the fashion industry. She is currently majoring in the fashion management field whose ultimate goal is to create her own online store one day. She is open to all things that deal with e-commerce as well as social media. Zhané & I have known each other for many years now and I have grown to truly admire all that she has become since we were younger. I was familiar to seeing her rock the upcoming and latest pairs of sneakers. She had a unique style of her own that regardless of whether she decided to continue wearing sneakers or not it would still show. Fast forward, years later I was so fascinated to see how she transformed completely (physically) to being a more sophisticated and business savvy personnel through her clothing. She expressed to me that being on her own made her become more aware of different takes of style and fashion. It opened her eyes to making efforts towards becoming who she is today. Zhané builds inspiration throughout New York City as well as keeps in mind of where she is headed when she puts her outfits together. I am proud to be featuring her because just like me she is all about empowering women rather than degrading them. What she decides to wear is a reflection of who she is aspiring to be.
A role model and a woman who inspires women all over despite of their age, nationality, social status, and occupation. Besides living everyday life with such a vibrant sense of style she also finds time to be passionate about natural-beauty mainly towards hair. Another pursue of hers is to become a educator who specifies on one’s natural hair whether male or female. Her interest is not being limited to only being a hair stylist but rather one who knows what they are talking about when it comes to all things natural hair. The main achievement of her becoming a natural hair educator is so that she can help her clients be more informed about what works and does not work for their special tresses as she would say. Zhané spends a huge amount of time researching as well as taking time out to advise her clients on what she thinks is best for them to do concerning their hair. She makes it one of her duties to find products that will ultimately help with her client’s overall success and health of what they have been blessed with. She is working towards building up her clientele and she knows that in due time more people will want to choose her to be an consultant to maintain the health of their hair.
I have no doubt in my mind that Zhané won’t be able to achieve all that is meant for her to. She inspires me to keep going forward with all that I am doing. I know that as women (women of color) specifically that we all have to stick together to encourage one another in our walks of life. It is such a blessing to be featuring this awesome, heartfelt poet & overall storyteller today. Most may known him as the guy who always has the right words to express for those who are able to relate.He goes by the name of Dae Lee formerly known as Daeizm throughout his work. This guy has to be on my top poets who inspire me to keep telling stories through writing. I don't think he knew that but along the side of Ms. Alex Elle from @alex_elle these two have definitely influenced my work emensley. Dae Lee is from the West Coast , California to be exact and that just makes this feature even more exciting being that I am going to visit there one day & hopefully meet him. I'm serious about that too !
His words always speak to me and shows how great he is in his craft that he has been blessed to have. On this beautiful & blessed Saturday I am featuring the super sweet & awesome Nisha. She proudly calls Toronto, Canada her home and has a personality, style, & big curly hair that people like myself can't get enough of. Her style is very versatile & her hair and gorgeous face definitely pulls together any look that she decides to go for.
She is an everyday girl who allows her life to be an example to others around her. She's very confident in who she is & has a strong head on her shoulders. Nisha is very inspirational. She makes me even more excited for the natural hair community. One thing that I couldn't quite get over was the fact that I came to know that she is the exact same mix as I am (Jamaican & Guyanese). Although, I have come across others who are the same lol, I guess being that she is from Toronto makes me feel a bit different.

So, today is the first of May. The start of a new month. It has been in my spirit to feature an artist (who draws and/or paints) for a while. Although, I am still in the process of receiving some more work I was super stoked when Dre Price accepted my offer to feature her & her awesome artistry. As you can may or may not tell, today I have spontaneously decided to feature her. Lol, I just couldn't hold off to do so any longer.
I have recently discovered Dre & her amazingly talented work of art. I must say that she makes me want to get back into drawing even more. Her vision on her pieces are extremely relate able and quite like no other. Dre proudly reps Houston, Texas as her home. But, now resides in The Big Apple (NYC). I love that she now lives in the state where I am still glad to call my home despite that fact that I am no longer living there anymore. Lol, that is besides the point though. I am quite sure whoever is reading this will LOVE her work & how she decided to drop her 9-5 in order to pursue her lifetime dream. She went after her calling and I am sure at times she was nervous of the outcome but I am very glad that she didn't allow those feelings to stop her.
Dre Price has definitely reminded me to keep doing what I am doing. She told me to always stay true to who I am & my art. As well as to share my best work with all of those who surround me and to go for all that I want or feel I am here to do. She gives wonderful advice & feedback for any of you who may have questions concerning life, their skills, or maybe someone to just talk to I would recommend to go to her.

Today, is the start of a brand new month. I know it has been such a long time since I have featured a visionary on "Their Artistry Speaks". So, today will mark the date of the continuance of sharing so many other artists who are standing out to the world and allowing their gifts to help others along the way.
On this Monday afternoon, I am featuring a wonderful, exquisite, and fearless friend/sister in Christ.
Her name is Ember and she is a New Jersey native but has made her way to the South for a change just like me. She inspires me so much in all that she does, says, and sets out to be. I happen to adore our friendship and the beauty of being able to getting to know her as a person. She is one who wears many hats, and I'll be sharing a few with you all today.
Ember's style of expression is full of class, versatility, with a edgy modern flair if you will. Her makeup looks are full of color, originality, and technique. She definitely shows that there is absolutely nothing wrong with remaining modest and chic at the same time. This is very important for us as women to do, but it is more so vital for Ember being that She is happily married to a Christ led Marine. Her ability to pull off all that she wears with such sophistication is amazing to say the least. It just goes to show you that it is possible to gain respect and have love for those who work hard with God's strength/grace to do the right thing. Amongst, her eclectic fashion sense she has also been led to join the blogging world, which i must say that I am so excited and proud of. Everything from the controversy of hair texture, to the acceptance of one's shade of skin, as well as how and why it is very essential to live a holy life in the eyes of God.

Cellie calls London, England her home and has work that will captive anyone's eyes. Her work holds such professionalism in my opinion.
The locations and visions that she chooses to go with always amaze me. Her models add such character to her photography. All that she does definitely speaks for itself. Not to mention her curly fro, English accent, & beautiful skin makes people want to get to know her even more. Today on this sunny Friday, I will be featuring a extremely talented & beautiful friend of mine named Soraya. She is such a free spirited and sweet person and expresses herself with such style and class. She calls New York home and makes the best out of everyday of life.
Soraya has a deep passion for the world of Art. She writes her own songs, poems, and sometimes raps in them as well. I have come to love the person she has become and grown to be. Today, on this amazing Thursday, I am featuring such a creative and gifted guy by the name of Ken Irish. He photographs the beauty around him as well as the people in his life that mean the up most to him. He demonstrates such quality and sophistication throughout his work.
Honestly, he is quite fanominal with bringing a story to life without having to find the right words to express them by. His artistry just continues to help me grow in mine and realize that as long as you have the passion & drive to succeed you most certainly can & will be able to.

Today, is the start of a brand new month. I know it has been such a long time since I have featured a visionary on "Their Artistry Speaks". So, today will mark the date of the continuance of sharing so many other artists who are standing out to the world and allowing their gifts to help others along the way.
On this Monday afternoon, I am featuring a wonderful, exquisite, and fearless friend/sister in Christ.
Her name is Ember and she is a New Jersey native but has made her way to the South for a change just like me. She inspires me so much in all that she does, says, and sets out to be. I happen to adore our friendship and the beauty of being able to getting to know her as a person. She is one who wears many hats, and I'll be sharing a few with you all today.
Ember's style of expression is full of class, versatility, with a edgy modern flair if you will. Her makeup looks are full of color, originality, and technique. She definitely shows that there is absolutely nothing wrong with remaining modest and chic at the same time. This is very important for us as women to do, but it is more so vital for Ember being that She is happily married to a Christ led Marine. Her ability to pull off all that she wears with such sophistication is amazing to say the least. It just goes to show you that it is possible to gain respect and have love for those who work hard with God's strength/grace to do the right thing. Amongst, her eclectic fashion sense she has also been led to join the blogging world, which i must say that I am so excited and proud of. Everything from the controversy of hair texture, to the acceptance of one's shade of skin, as well as how and why it is very essential to live a holy life in the eyes of God.
Today, I'll be sharing with you a look into Ember's sense of style and recent change of hairstyle. She breaks the barrier of "how" you think a Christian woman should look, or sound. I am looking forward to all that God has coming her way and I know that she will continue to walk in the way that He has for her to be in. I want to encourage every woman and man to truly appreciate, accept, and walk confidently in who God has made you to be. It is so evident to conform to the world's way of doing things. Unfortunately, by doing so it will only allow the time that you could be spending and living for God go to waste. I must say that living a life that whole heartily honors God IS NOT EASY but what is. Hello Beautiful People, Today I have decided to surprise the amazing & sweet Brianna Watson as
one of my features today on "Their Artistry Speaks". I have so much respect right here for this
wonderful creative. It has most certainly been an awesome journey getting to know other
visionaries personally. I am so grateful to know BWATS, lol. She hails from Minnesota and specializes in creating art through many forms. She writes, video directs, photographs.
