Tonight, I am sharing with you all a poem that God led me to write yesterday. I am just at a point in my life, in my journey where I am not trying to seem as someone I am not. Society, has made it look very easy and appealing to be of the world and be associated with what everyone else is doing. Well, I am honestly exhausted of the whole ordeal and I believe that God is shaping me more into the woman that HE has destined for me to be. I cannot expect to be treated any differently, if I don't stand out to be different than the rest, right? This body is not my own and it should be treated as such, I actually tweeted that exact statement last night amongst some other aspects of being a woman through God's eyes vs the world.
Beauty From Within
Beauty From Within
"I don't want to be recognized for my curves, hips, breasts, and thighs more than the spirit, intellect, and overall being of mine. I don't want to be recognized by the way most men are used to viewing other women, recognize the spirit that was made to be sweet like honey and precious in comparison to the touch of a ever blooming beautifully created petal of a flower. I don't want to be recognized for the content of my physical appearance alone, the treasure of who I am is not laid within the crevices of my skin, but within the layers of my heart and the makeup of my soul"
Proverbs 3:15 "She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her."
1 Peter 3:4 Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a
gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight.
I really hope I was able to inspire you, to truly recognize your worth and remember that we as people do not have to conform to this world in order to enjoy life and be free. We were made to be all that God intended for us to be serving his purpose for our journeys from the inside to the out. I encourage you to keep going, keep setting an example for others, keep letting that beautiful radiant spirit of yours shine through first. Don't worry about being liked, or about what others might say, that is surely none of your concern, keep those marvelous eyes on Jesus, the road that we are on isn't an easy one, but we must keep moving forward regardless of what tries to come in our way to stop us.
as always,
much love & peace,
- herbeautyspeaks
